French Rugby Regional Finals Kick Off This Weekend

The Stade Dijonnais senior team will contest the Régionale 1 championship final against Mimisan on Sunday at 10 a.m. in Ussel, after a light training session in Bourillot and a jersey ceremony that saw Damien Teissèdre miss out due to a concussion. The club has a history of final appearances but has never won a national senior title, and it will travel with a convoy of supporters and encouragement from former player Jules Soulan.

In the Régionale 2 division, the national final between Rabastens‑Couffouleux and US Lézadoise is scheduled for Sunday, 5 July, on the neutral ground at Balma near Toulouse. Both clubs hail from Occitanie, and the match caps a season in which Rabastens‑Couffouleux secured promotion to Régionale 1 with a string of victories, while US Lézadoise, founded in 1977, aims to finish the campaign on a high note.
