French senior health programs launched to prevent falls
In Corbie, physiotherapist Lucie Telemaque and dietitian Amélie Roguez will hold a free conference titled Âge’Ilité® and eight practical workshops for people over 65. The sessions, scheduled from late September through early December 2026, aim to improve balance, strength and nutrition. The program is funded by the Somme department and the regional health agency (ARS) and organized with Kine France Prevention; registration is limited and required through the Corbie town hall.
At the EHPAD La Forêt in Orne, a weekly program called “Prenons l’âge du bon côté” will run from 1 September to 17 November 2026. Designed by sport‑science doctor Ivan Raça with dietitian Claudie Lengline, the initiative offers physical activities such as Nordic walking, strength exercises and stretching, plus nutrition education. It is free and co‑financed by the local MDA, the department and the Orne financing commission, targeting a small group of about ten residents.
