French ski resorts announce winter season opening dates
Several French ski resorts have released their opening schedules for the upcoming winter season. Tignes, Val Thorens, and Orelle are among the first to open on November 21, followed closely by Val d’Isère and Les 2 Alpes. Chamonix is scheduled to begin operations on November 28.
A significant peak in openings is expected on December 19, when 51 French stations are set to welcome skiers. High-altitude domains such as Val Thorens, Tignes, and Les 2 Alpes are projected to remain open until early May.
Many resorts are offering early booking discounts to encourage advance planning. Notable reductions include up to 60 percent at Valloire-Valmeinier, 50 percent at Grand Massif, and 45 percent at Orcières-Merlette.
