French sports: Boulazac Basket Dordogne falls to Paris; Pau Billère wins handball thriller

In French basketball, Boulazac Basket Dordogne (BBD) suffered a 90-75 defeat against Paris on October 18. Despite the absence of Patrick Beverley, BBD held a lead for 24 minutes and maintained a close score through much of the game. However, the departure of Essomé Miyem with six minutes remaining contributed to the final margin.

In handball, Pau Billère (PBH) secured a victory against Valence following a penalty shootout after the match ended in a 31-31 draw. Despite struggling throughout the regulation time and facing strong goalkeeping from Valence's Sven Horvat, PBH managed to secure the win through successful 7-meter shots by Joris Labro and Kalim Zahaf.
