French sports: Brûleurs de Loups ice hockey and Élan Chalon basketball updates

The Brûleurs de Loups ice hockey team began their 2026-2027 preseason with a match against Chamonix. Captain Sacha Treille opened the scoring in the 15th minute with a power-play goal, followed shortly by Dimitri Thillet to give Grenoble a 2-0 lead. Although Chamonix managed to score on a power play late in the first period, Grenoble extended their lead in the second period through Sacha Treille and Christophe Boivin.

In basketball, Élan Chalon has resumed training for the 2026-27 season. The team is preparing for multiple challenges, including European competition and the Leaders Cup. Coach Elric Delord noted the difficulty of retaining players due to contract clauses, while highlighting the core roster and the addition of Swiss prospect Klark Riethauser. The team's home arena, Le Colisée, has also undergone renovations, including a new black and white floor design.
