This marks the team's second consecutive win during their summer preparation, following a previous success against Soyaux-Angoulême. Coach Mauricio Reggiardo noted that the squad is building momentum and cohesion ahead of the Pro D2 season kickoff.

In ice hockey, the Boucaniers de Toulon are preparing for their transition to Division 2 following a second-place finish in Division 3. The team is hosting a training camp on August 24 to finalize its roster. To compete at this higher level, the club has recruited several international players, including Finnish attackers and defenders, Quebecois players, and Russian goalkeeper Konstantin Belomoev.
