French Stewart defends Anna Faris against Chuck Lorre's memoir

Actor French Stewart has publicly defended Anna Faris following critical remarks made by 'Mom' co-creator Chuck Lorre in his new memoir, 'Sitcom'. Stewart, who appeared on the CBS comedy for eight seasons, expressed his disappointment on Instagram, describing Faris as a hardworking, kind, and prepared professional who was a favorite co-star.

In his memoir, Lorre suggested that Faris was not the right fit for the series material and compared her to Charlie Sheen regarding the anxiety she allegedly caused on set. Lorre also claimed that Faris's departure from the show in 2020 for 'mysterious reasons' was well-understood by the production crew. Stewart countered these characterizations, stating that Faris was a dedicated worker and offering a sharp critique of Lorre in return.
