French telecoms trio enters exclusive talks to acquire SFR from Altice France

Altice France said that a consortium comprising Bouygues Telecom, Iliad (Free) and Orange has submitted an offer to acquire SFR, valued at around €20 billion, with Patrick Drahi reportedly accepting the proposal. The move signals consolidation in the French telecoms sector as bidders vie for the SFR asset.

Following a due diligence phase that started in 2026, the same trio reportedly increased the bid to €20.35 billion and entered exclusive negotiations with Altice Group to finalize terms for the SFR asset.
