French tennis player Moise Kouame targets 25 Grand Slam titles

Seventeen-year-old French tennis player Moise Kouame has expressed his ambition to break the Grand Slam record currently held by Novak Djokovic. In an interview with Univers Tennis, Kouame stated that his goal is to win 25 major titles, one more than Djokovic’s current record of 24.

Despite the bold claim, Kouame displayed maturity regarding his current professional standing. Ranked 194th in the world, he noted that he must first focus on consistent evolution and ranking improvements, stating, “I am not going to win 25 Grand Slams while I am number 300 in the world.”

Kouame recently competed in the ATP 250 tournament in Lyon, where he defeated Lorenzo Sonego before falling to Lorenzo Musetti in the round of 16. His performance in Lyon is expected to raise his ranking to approximately 176th. His rise follows a notable performance at Roland Garros earlier this year, where he defeated former Grand Slam champion Marin Cilic.
