French tennis players Fiona Ferro and Loïs Boisson report mixed results
French tennis players Fiona Ferro and Loïs Boisson have seen contrasting results on the WTA circuit. Fiona Ferro, currently ranked 141st, has secured a second consecutive title following her win at the ITF tournament in Saint-Palais-sur-Mer. Competing as the fourth seed at the WTA 125 in Montreux, Switzerland, Ferro advanced through the rounds by defeating Mona Barthel and Barbora Palicova before a dominant 6-0 second set against Lucie Havlickova in the quarterfinals.
In contrast, Loïs Boisson continues to struggle with consistency. Despite a strong showing at the WTA 1000 in Cincinnati and a competitive first-round match at the US Open against Emma Navarro, the player ranked 227th suffered a three-set defeat to Panna Udvardy in the first round of the Guadalajara tournament. Boisson is expected to focus on the upcoming Asian swing to conclude her season.
