French towns Alençon and Dieppe host free summer festivals

From July 30 to August 22, Alençon will hold the 12th edition of Alençon Plage in the Parc des Promenades, offering free concerts, outdoor cinema, sports activities and new beach handball and beach basket events for thousands of visitors. The program is organized by local associations Frak’art and Culture Kraft and follows a successful 2025 edition that attracted about 40 000 people.

On July 24, Dieppe’s front‑of‑sea lawns hosted a free summer concert featuring French DJ duo Ofenbach, drawing a large crowd under a sunset sky. The event highlighted local talent and continued the tradition of the town’s popular summer beach concerts.
