French towns develop childcare centre and school heat‑comfort upgrades

In Labégude, municipal officials visited the new Maison d'Assistants Maternels (MAM) to inspect construction progress. They confirmed that the facilities meet safety, comfort and functional standards and prepared for the centre’s opening, with enrollment now open for families in Labégude and neighboring communes.

In Veigné, local elected officials, municipal services and the technical firm Pouget Consultants carried out a summer‑comfort diagnostic of school buildings under the Plan Urgence Canicule. The assessment, funded by the Banque des Territoires, ACTEE, Banque Postale and EDF, evaluates heat vulnerability and prioritises renovation work, including a cooled room for the upcoming school year and future upgrades such as new blinds.
