French towns host historical reenactments and community festivals

Various French municipalities are hosting community festivals and historical reenactments in early September.

In Pont-Saint-Esprit, the ‘Médiévales’ festival will take place on September 12 and 13. The event features medieval camps, combat demonstrations including Templar shows and béhourd, guided city tours, and a medieval fair. The festivities include a parade, a medieval ball, and an equestrian spectacle.

Saint-Étienne-au-Mont will host ‘Saint-Étienne-au-Mont en fête’ on September 4 and 5 at the Médiathèque Château Calonne. The program includes a motorcycle exhibition, a World War II-themed American military camp reenactment, giant bubble shows, and performances by local musical artists. The second day will feature inflatable structures, traditional games, and various local association booths.
