French towns host summer music festivals in Calais and Bitche

On July 25 2026, Calais' Place d’Armes hosted a concert featuring local band Color Snake as the opening act, followed by a tribute to late singer Daniel Balavoine. Organized under the Calais XXL program, the event drew several thousand attendees who sang along to Balavoine’s classic hits.

The same weekend, Bitche held its 2026 edition of the Estivales, a street‑music festival with live performances, a craft market and a fairground. Organisers noted a decline in crowd size compared with previous years, but visitors still enjoyed local bands, traditional songs and the festive atmosphere.
