French Trade Minister Nicolas Forissier lauds Morocco’s modernisation under King Mohammed VI

French Minister for Foreign Trade and Economic Attractiveness Nicolas Forissier said he was “greatly impressed” by Morocco’s dynamism and modernisation during a recent visit. He highlighted the rapid development of transport, energy and logistics infrastructure, the high‑capacity Tanger‑Mediterranean port and the strong growth of tourism.

Forissier noted the expanding French‑Moroccan trade relationship, estimating bilateral exchanges to exceed €15 billion in 2025 – more than double the volume of a decade earlier – and cited the establishment of a new Safran aircraft‑equipment factory in Casablanca as a flagship investment. He described the partnership as “win‑win” and “exceptional”, stressing the long‑term, supply‑chain‑secure cooperation envisioned by King Mohammed VI and President Emmanuel Macron.
