French TV ratings: OPJ leads as Koh-Lanta sees low debut

The French television series ‘OPJ’ has concluded its seventh season on France 3 with strong viewership. The season finale attracted approximately 2.91 million viewers for the first episode and 2.63 million for the second, securing a leading position in the ratings.

Following the success of the seventh season, producer Banijay France has confirmed that ‘OPJ’ will return for an eighth season. Production of the new episodes is set to take place in La Réunion. The upcoming season is expected to consist of 12 episodes, each 52 minutes long, with a projected broadcast window in the summer of 2027.

In competing programming, the launch of ‘Koh-Lanta: All Stars’ on TF1 saw its lowest historical start, drawing 2.84 million viewers for the first part and 2.32 million for the second. Despite the lower overall audience compared to previous editions, TF1 maintained strong performance among key advertiser demographics, specifically women under 50 and younger viewers aged 15-24.
