French universities launch 2026 academic year programs

Universities in France are preparing for the 2026 academic year with a focus on student experience and community integration. Université Savoie Mont Blanc (USMB) held a reopening ceremony centered on the theme of placing the student experience at the heart of the university and its surrounding territories.

During the USMB event, President Philippe Briand addressed the challenges facing the institution in an evolving context. Roundtables involving university officials, health services directors, and local political leaders, such as the Mayor of Chambéry, discussed student success, health, and the reciprocal relationship between academic institutions and local economic dynamism.

Additionally, the UMLP is organizing a month-long festival throughout September to welcome new and returning students. The program includes various social and practical activities, such as 'Étu’Trocs' for exchanging goods, 'Color Campus' celebrations, and a 'Student Village' to introduce students to university services and support systems.
