Frende Forsikring reports strong growth and increased profits in H1 2026

Frende Forsikring reported strong financial results for the first half of 2026, characterized by significant improvements in profitability and growth. Pre-tax profit reached 438 million NOK, up from 348 million NOK during the same period last year.

CEO Vegar Styve attributed the success to improvements in underlying insurance operations, noting that long-term measures are yielding results. The company's combined ratio decreased to 87.5 percent from 93.5 percent in the previous year. Premium income rose by 14.8 percent to 4.9 billion NOK.

In addition to strong insurance operations, the company saw a positive investment contribution of 163 million NOK, despite global economic uncertainty. Styve noted that necessary price and profitability measures, particularly in motor and building insurance, have helped offset previous challenges related to high inflation and increased claim payouts.
