Frente Amplio Congress addresses internal representation and power

The Frente Amplio (FA) recently held its Congress, a central event aimed at reconciling diverse political traditions into a unified common will. The gathering, which took place from October 16 to 18, involved over 12,000 participants through prior committee processes and more than 2,000 motions.

The Congress serves as the party's highest authority, tasked with the challenge of politically governing those who hold power in the party's name. Discussions focused on the relationship between the party's grassroots militancy and the institutional power it has acquired, specifically regarding how to correct deviations from the collectively developed political program.
