Frentix releases OpenOlat 21.1 with enhanced AI controls
Frentix has launched OpenOlat 21.1, a new version of its learning platform designed for corporations, educational institutions, and universities. The update focuses on reducing organizational overhead and increasing user autonomy regarding artificial intelligence.
Key features include enhanced booking forms within the Course Planner, which allow for the collection of additional participant information and personal preferences through a step-by-step assistant. The platform also features a redesigned course information page capable of generating PDF flyers with logos and QR codes. For online training, OpenOlat has expanded its Microsoft Teams integration, allowing session recordings to be directly provided and shared within the platform.
A significant aspect of the release is the granular control over AI functions. Users can now decide whether their content is processed for automatic image descriptions or AI-assisted grading of free-text answers. While administrators set standard configurations, individual users can adjust these settings, and explicit consent is required before the first AI-driven correction occurs.
