Frequency Festival in St. Pölten prepares for 140,000 visitors
The Frequency Festival is set to take place in St. Pölten, Austria, from August 20 to 22. The event is expected to draw up to 140,000 visitors over three days, nearly doubling the city's population. This year's lineup includes artists such as Sido, Paul Kalkbrenner, and Ski Aggu, with a large silent disco scheduled to kick off the festivities.
Emergency services are preparing for the large-scale event. The Red Cross St. Pölten will deploy up to 130 members, including paramedics, doctors, and support staff, to handle expected issues such as minor injuries, dehydration, and insect bites. Last year, the Red Cross treated 1,468 people, 47 of whom required hospitalization.
Police will maintain a continuous presence to ensure security on the festival grounds and manage traffic flow. Law enforcement will also utilize drone teams to provide real-time situational awareness and coordinate ground operations.
