Frequent ejaculation linked to prostate cancer risk reduction

Research suggests that frequent ejaculation, through sexual activity or masturbation, may offer several health benefits for men. A study from the University of Oxford indicates that regular ejaculation can lead to higher sperm quality with less DNA damage.

Furthermore, a long-term study conducted by the Harvard School of Public Health involving over 31,000 men found a statistical association between frequent ejaculation and a reduced risk of prostate cancer. Men who ejaculated at least 21 times per month showed a 20% to 33% lower probability of developing the disease compared to those who ejaculated 4 to 7 times per month. This protective effect appears to be consistent across different life stages, including the 20s, 40s, and 50s.

Other physiological benefits noted by specialists include improved sleep quality due to the release of prolactin and oxytocin, enhanced mental well-being through the release of endorphins and dopamine, and potentially increased immunity via higher levels of Immunoglobulin A.
