Fresco by Nonna Offers Hands-On Kosher Cooking Class in Rome
Fresco by Nonna, a culinary venue operated by the Neman Collection in Rome’s Trastevere district, hosted a full‑day kosher cooking class for tourists. The program, led by owner Nofar Kashi, guided participants through making pasta dough from scratch, shaping ravioli and fettuccine, and preparing a traditional tiramisu, using Roman‑Jewish ingredients such as artichokes and fresh herbs.
Located a short walk from the historic Jewish Ghetto, the class combined authentic Italian techniques with kosher dietary rules. Guests ate the dishes they prepared at a table set with Amalfi‑style ceramics, and received a digital recipe book to recreate the meals at home.
