Freshworks to join S&P SmallCap 600 index
Freshworks is set to join the S&P SmallCap 600 index, replacing BioLife Solutions. S&P Dow Jones Indices announced the change following the acquisition of BioLife Solutions by Repligen. The transition is scheduled to take effect before the market opens this Thursday.
Following the announcement, Freshworks saw a stock price increase. The company's inclusion in the index is expected to make it a target for index funds required to hold components of the S&P SmallCap 600.
Separately, Freshworks Chief Accounting Officer Philippa Lawrence sold 3,492 shares of the company on October 5th at an average price of $12.98. The sale, totaling approximately $45,326, was executed under a pre-arranged Rule 10b5-1 trading plan to cover tax withholding obligations related to equity award vesting.
