Fresnillo plc Holds Stock Rating as Share Price Slips After 2025 Surge

Analysts at Jefferies Financial Group reaffirmed a "hold" rating on Fresnillo plc, setting a GBX 2,700 target price. Other banks, including Royal Bank of Canada, Berenberg Bank, JPMorgan Chase & Co., and Citigroup, issued similar mixed ratings and target prices in recent weeks.

The company's shares have fallen about 27% since the start of the year after a 410% rally in 2025, driven by record gold prices and strong silver demand. Fresnillo reported a 27.6% rise in revenue to US$4.6 billion and an 80.7% jump in EBITDA for FY2025, but has cut its 2026 production guidance for both silver and gold, citing lower ore throughput and mine‑plan changes.
