Fresno woman arrested in fatal shooting of college graduate

A 24-year-old woman has been arrested in connection with the fatal shooting of 26-year-old Marione Tsegay during a house party in Fresno, California. According to the Fresno Police Department, the incident occurred on a Saturday night near the intersection of Fruit and Shields avenues following a heated argument between Tsegay and Nemadia Knuckles.

Tsegay, a recent graduate of California State University, Fresno, who worked as a physical therapy aide, was rushed to Community Regional Medical Center by emergency responders. Despite medical efforts, she was pronounced dead.

Knuckles was arrested later that night at a local restaurant and has been booked into the Fresno County Jail on suspicion of murder. Her bail has been set at $1 million. Local community members and religious leaders have expressed grief over the loss of Tsegay, describing her as an aspiring medical professional and a dedicated volunteer.
