Frida Karlsson moves training from Tenerife due to police restrictions

Swedish cross-country skiing star Frida Karlsson is changing her training plans after facing repeated issues with local authorities on Tenerife. Karlsson, 27, has used the Spanish island for years to prepare for the ski season, utilizing its warm climate and steep hills for roller skiing.

However, Karlsson reported being stopped by Spanish police on multiple occasions, resulting in fines. She noted that roller skiing has now become prohibited on the specific roads she previously used for training. Due to these restrictions, she is relocating her training camp to the Sierra Nevada region in southern Spain, which offers similar high-altitude and warm-weather conditions.
