Friday the 13th prequel series explores Jason Voorhees origins

A new prequel series titled ‘Stan’s Crystal Lake’ aims to provide the backstory of the iconic slasher Jason Voorhees. The series explores the character's origins and his connection to the Crystal Lake camp, detailing the events leading up to his transformation into a serial killer.

While the franchise has spanned numerous films since the original 1980 release, this series focuses on the trauma associated with the lake and the life of Jason's mother, played by Linda Cardellini. The narrative intends to show what occurred before Jason's death in the lake, offering a deeper look at the character's motivations and history.
