Fridayy releases third studio album ‘Tension’

Philadelphia-based singer, songwriter, and producer Fridayy has released his third studio album, titled ‘Tension’, via Def Jam Recordings. The 12-track R&B project explores themes of love, uncertainty, desire, and personal growth.

The album incorporates Caribbean influences that reflect the artist’s Haitian roots, blending contemporary R&B with rhythm-driven production. Key tracks include ‘Haiku’ and the album closer ‘Death Do Us Part’, a collaboration with Mariah The Scientist.

This release follows Fridayy’s sophomore album, ‘Some Days I’m Good, Some Days I’m Not’, which reached the Top 10 on the R&B Albums chart. The artist, who has received four Grammy nominations, described the project as being about ‘the space between where you are and where you want to be.’
