Museum collections feature diverse historical and artistic artifacts
Various museum collections in Germany feature diverse historical and artistic artifacts. These include a monochrome drypoint etching titled ‘Tanzendes Paar’ (Dancing Couple) at the Museum für Sepulkralkultur, which depicts skeletal figures in a contemporary composition.
Schloß Wernigerode GmbH holds significant works by painter Anton von Werner, including a sketchbook from 1868 documenting travels through Le Havre and the Alps, as well as an early pencil copy of a Rubens painting.
Other notable items include gold Boian stater coins imitating Hellenistic Athena-Nike coins found in Ruit, a 1917 postcard from Berlin depicting the Kaiser-Wilhelm-Zelt, and a Polish batik wood piece of a Madonna and Child produced by the Cepelia cooperative in 1975.
