Friedrich-Ebert-Stiftung traveling exhibition to explore changing housing needs

The Friedrich-Ebert-Stiftung is launching a traveling exhibition titled ‘Wohnen im Umbruch – Ein Zuhause für alle!’ (Housing in Transition – A Home for All!) to explore how living requirements change throughout a person's life.

Organized by KRONACH Creativ e. V., the exhibition will be presented in Bavaria for the first time. It will run from August 31 to September 28, 2026, across three locations in the Kronach district: the town hall in Kronach, the Leisure and Tourism Center in Steinbach am Wasser, and the Sparkasse Kulmbach-Kronach in Kronach.

The exhibition examines how housing needs evolve during different life stages, such as moving into a first shared apartment, starting a family, separating, retiring, or requiring elderly care. It aims to highlight how existing living spaces often fail to meet these changing needs and explores the connection between housing, quality of life, and social participation.
