Friedrich-Loeffler-Institut seeks immunology lab lead to integrate AI

The Friedrich-Loeffler-Institut (FLI) is seeking a new laboratory leader for its System Immunology working group at its headquarters on Insel Riems. The position, designated as a scientific advisor role, focuses on the immunological investigation of both livestock and wild animals.

A key requirement for the role is the integration of modern technologies, specifically artificial intelligence and machine learning, to facilitate data-driven analyses in veterinary research. The successful candidate will be responsible for establishing an independent research group dedicated to the computer-aided analysis of immune responses.

The position is offered as a full-time civil service role on a probationary basis, with compensation aligned to the A 13h pay grade of the Federal Salary Scale (BBesO).
