Friends cast declines participation in Matthew Perry Netflix documentary

The five main stars of the television series ‘Friends’—Jennifer Aniston, Courteney Cox, Matt LeBlanc, Lisa Kudrow, and David Schwimmer—have declined to participate in the upcoming Netflix documentary series about Matthew Perry.

According to reports from Page Six, the cast members were approached by the production team but chose not to be involved. Sources indicate that Jennifer Aniston, in particular, does not wish to discuss Perry’s death publicly or relive the loss in front of cameras.

The three-part documentary, titled ‘The One About Matthew Perry’, is directed by Mary Robertson and is scheduled to premiere on Netflix on October 27, near the third anniversary of the actor's death. While the main cast will not appear, the series will feature interviews with Perry’s sister, Mia Perry Bowick, as well as other friends and colleagues who knew him outside of his role as Chandler Bing.
