Friends to visit Daniel Sancho in Thai prison

Three friends of Daniel Sancho are scheduled to visit him at the Surat Thani prison in Thailand on Saturday, August 15. Among the visitors is Jaime Onieva Molas, the brother of businessman Íñigo Onieva and brother-in-law to Tamara Falcó.

Sancho is currently serving a life sentence for the murder of Colombian surgeon Edwin Arrieta. While the group had a trip to Thailand already planned, they decided to organize the visit upon arrival. Although initial bureaucratic hurdles nearly prevented the meeting, permission was eventually granted. Reports indicate that while Sancho has many acquaintances, he has few close friends remaining following the crime.
