Friends Together named Detroit Red Wings Charity of the Game
The Detroit Red Wings have named Friends Together, a non-profit organization based in Northeast Michigan, as the official Charity of the Game for their October 4 matchup against the Winnipeg Jets at Little Caesars Arena.
Friends Together provides support, programs, and navigation services for cancer patients and their families. During the event, the organization will maintain a promotional presence on the arena concourse to engage with fans and facilitate fundraising. A significant portion of proceeds from tickets purchased through a dedicated fundraising link will be donated to the charity to fund services such as free lodging, transportation, and support groups.
Executive Director Melissa Burns stated that the partnership aims to ensure no one faces a cancer diagnosis alone. The game is scheduled for a 1 p.m. puck drop and will also feature a Sergei Fedorov bobblehead giveaway for early arrivals.
