Frigorífico Rosario regains access to Chinese meat market

Frigorífico Rosario has regained access to the Chinese market after China lifted a suspension that had been in place since October 2023. The facility will be permitted to export processed products starting August 11, 2026.

The Ministry of Livestock, Agriculture, and Fisheries clarified that the suspension was not due to sanitary issues, but rather the temporary cessation of productive activities at the plant. While the move expands commercial possibilities and removes a significant international trade barrier, it does not yet confirm a full economic recovery. Specific data regarding current production levels, employment stability, or finalized export contracts with Chinese buyers remain unavailable.
