FRITZ! launches new router and cybersecurity partnership in Italy

FRITZ! has expanded its product and service offerings in the Italian market with the launch of the FRITZ!Box 5630 Edition International and a new cybersecurity partnership with FlashStart.

The FRITZ!Box 5630 Edition International is an entry-level router designed for AON and GPON fiber optic networks. Priced at 289 euros, the device features a 2.5 Gbit/s WAN/LAN port, Wi-Fi Mesh technology, and smart home integration for managing lighting and heating. It also includes a ‘FRITZ! Failsafe’ function, which automatically redirects traffic to a backup connection via a USB modem or a second router in the event of a primary fiber failure.

Additionally, FRITZ! has announced a collaboration with FlashStart to provide integrated cybersecurity solutions for the B2B sector. This partnership combines FRITZ! networking hardware with FlashStart’s DNS filtering technology. The solution allows businesses to block access to over 200 categories of dangerous or unwanted web content through a 12-month license, aiming to enhance digital sovereignty and compliance with European regulations such as GDPR and NIS2.
