Fritzi Haberlandt stars in ‘Wilma will mehr’ on Das Erste

The German broadcaster Das Erste is featuring the film ‘Wilma will mehr’, directed by Maren-Kea Freese, as part of its ‘KinoFestival’. The film stars Fritzi Haberlandt as Wilma, a woman from the Lusatia lignite mining district who loses both her job and her husband.

Seeking a fresh start, Wilma moves to Vienna, where she must rebuild her life from scratch. Utilizing her technical skills, she finds work repairing items in the Vienna suburbs, joins a bohemian communal living arrangement, and eventually becomes a teacher at a traditional dance school. The story follows her personal transformation and her discovery of new romantic possibilities amidst the uncertainty of her new environment.
