Friuli Venezia Giulia allocates 300,000 euros for historical memory education
The Friuli Venezia Giulia regional government has announced 300,000 euros in funding to support educational initiatives, meetings, and trips dedicated to historical memory for the 2026/2027 school year. The program is aimed at students of all levels, including professional education and training paths (IeFP).
Regional Education Councilor Alessia Rosolen stated that the initiative aims to provide students with concrete opportunities for deepening their knowledge and reflection. The funding focuses on themes related to national laws regarding the Day of Remembrance and the Day of Memory. Specifically, projects may address the memory of the Holocaust and the persecution of the Jewish people, as well as the victims of the Foibe, the Julian-Dalmatian exodus, and the events surrounding the eastern border in the post-war period.
The call for proposals is open to state and private schools within the regional school system.
