Friuli Venezia Giulia approves €1.75 million cycling‑pedestrian bridge on Meduna

The Friuli‑Venezia Giulia regional council approved the 2026 investment programme of Fvg Strade, allocating €1.75 million for a new cycling‑pedestrian bridge over the Meduna river between Azzano Decimo and Pordenone. The project completes a strategic section of the local bike‑ and foot‑path network, improving safety for daily commuters, students and workers. The regional plan also funds three additional road‑safety works in the region, but the Meduna crossing is highlighted as the flagship element of the package.

The €2.5 million regional contribution to the overall €2.68 million plan aims to accelerate construction and address a long‑standing gap in the corridor, allowing uninterrupted gentle‑mobility routes across the area.
