Friuli Venezia Giulia contract stalled by Court of Auditors
The Court of Auditors (Corte dei conti) has declined to certify the 2022-2024 contract proposal for the 'Comparto Unico' in the Friuli Venezia Giulia region. This decision has sparked a dispute between regional authorities and labor unions.
Andrea Traunero, general secretary of FP CGIL, requested an urgent meeting with President Fedriga and Local Autonomies Assessor Pierpaolo Roberti. Traunero emphasized that workers should not be held hostage by administrative issues and called for a clear timeline to make the contract enforceable.
Regional Assessor Pierpaolo Roberti responded by stating that while the lack of certification is an obstacle, it is not the end of the process. Roberti expressed a commitment to analyzing the Court's objections point by point to find a legal and administrative path forward. He reassured employees that the regional government and employers intend to finalize the contract, which includes economic improvements, professional development, and welfare benefits.
