Fränkische Schweiz Marathon features free children's races

The Fränkische Schweiz Marathon is scheduled for the upcoming weekend in Germany. The event includes various activities, such as free Bambini and children's runs, as well as a 1/10 marathon for youths and adults. Sparkasse Forchheim is sponsoring the children's races, covering all associated costs.

On Saturday, September 5, 2026, participants can collect their race documents starting at 13:00 in Ebermannstadt. The Sunday marathon route will be car-free, and a historical steam train will run parallel to the course between Ebermannstadt and Behringersmühle, allowing spectators to cheer on the runners. Various street festivals and regional markets are also planned along the route.
