Frogwares reveals new trailer for The Sinking City 2

Ukrainian developer Frogwares has released a new gameplay overview trailer for its upcoming Lovecraftian survival horror title, ‘The Sinking City 2’. The game is scheduled for release on August 18, 2026, for PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S.

Set in a supernatural, flooded version of 1920s Arkham, the game follows occult adventurer Calvin Rafferty as he searches for a way to wake his girlfriend, Faye Bennett, from a mysterious sleep caused by a failed ritual. The gameplay emphasizes survival horror mechanics, including resource management, investigation, and combat against eldritch creatures known as ‘the Slither’.

The studio confirmed its main voice cast, featuring Andrew Wheildon-Dennis as Calvin Rafferty and Gemma Elizabeth Whelan, known for her role in ‘Game of Thrones’, as Faye Bennett. Despite the challenges posed by the ongoing Russian invasion of Ukraine, which caused a delay from the original 2025 release window, the game has officially reached ‘gold status’, meaning the master version is complete.
