FromSoftware brings Elden Ring to Nintendo Switch 2

FromSoftware is expanding its presence on the Nintendo Switch 2 with several major releases. The studio is bringing Elden Ring to the handheld console via the ‘Tarnished Edition’, scheduled for release on August 28, 2026. This version includes the original game, the Shadow of the Erdtree expansion, and new content such as the Idus Knight and Heavy Knight classes, along with new equipment and cosmetic options for Torrent.

Additionally, FromSoftware is developing The Duskbloods, a new multiplayer title directed by Hidetaka Miyazaki. Designed as a Nintendo Switch 2 exclusive, the game features an eight-player PvPvE experience set in environments reminiscent of the studio’s previous works. The title is expected to launch toward the end of 2026.

Other titles are also arriving on the platform, including Capcom’s Onimusha: Way of the Sword, which has received high critical praise, and Moonlighter 2. However, some titles like Wo Long: Fallen Dynasty Complete Edition have faced criticism regarding performance and frame rate issues on the new hardware.
