FromSoftware patches Elden Ring exploit as Stellar Blade heads to Switch 2

FromSoftware has released a patch to address an item duplication exploit in Elden Ring related to its controversial DLC. Players were able to multiply items from the DLC by dropping them on the ground during multiplayer sessions without the items being removed from the original owner's inventory. The update fixes this issue in multiplayer mode, though players can still transfer DLC items to others, provided they are correctly removed from the sender's inventory.

The Tarnished Pack DLC, which includes new starting classes, armor sets, and weapons, has received mixed reviews on Steam, with some players criticizing the inclusion of such content behind a paywall.

Separately, Shift Up announced that the Complete Edition of Stellar Blade will be released for the Nintendo Switch 2. To support collectors and those preferring physical media, the game will be available on cartridges starting November 5. This edition will include all previously released expansions and cosmetic packs, such as the NieR:Automata and GODDESS OF VICTORY: NIKKE crossovers, without requiring additional digital downloads.
