Urabá agroindustrial development plan launched by Ministry of Agriculture and ProAntioquia

The Ministry of Agriculture and Development Rural and ProAntioquia have established a joint agenda to accelerate agroindustrial development in the Urabá region. The plan focuses on four key areas: ensuring legal security for land titles, declaring agroindustrial free trade zones, creating a single window for administrative procedures, and expanding productive acreage.

To address land ownership, the Land Restitution Unit and the National Land Agency will work to clarify boundaries and secure rural titles, facilitating access to formal banking for farmers. Additionally, the implementation of agroindustrial free trade zones aims to allow fruit and grain processors to import machinery duty-free and benefit from tax incentives for exports near the region's new maritime port node.
