Frontera Mayor delivers food assistance to 200 elderly residents
Mayor Sari Pérez Cantú led the distribution of food assistance to 200 vulnerable elderly residents in Frontera, Coahuila. This event marks the fourth such delivery of the year, organized through a coordination between the Municipal DIF and the Coahuila DIF.
According to Karen Cadena, director of the Municipal DIF, the nutritional packages are distributed to individuals who meet specific criteria established through socioeconomic studies, including community dining room members and volunteers. The initiative is supported by Coahuila Governor Manolo Jiménez Salinas and honorary president Liliana Salinas.
Mayor Pérez Cantú stated that the municipal government will continue to survey different sectors to identify citizens in need and expand the reach of available social programs.
