Frontera school director removed following parent protests

Authorities in Frontera, Coahuila, have removed Atenas Ibarra from her position as director of the Sara Rendón García elementary school following protests by parents. The demonstrators had blocked access to the school, citing concerns regarding the management of resources and administrative decisions made during Ibarra's tenure.

Following mediation by the Coahuila Ministry of Education, an agreement was reached to restore order and ensure academic continuity. The school's sub-director will serve as interim director from September through December. The decision to remove Ibarra from the directorship was a key condition for parents to end their protest and reopen the campus.
