Frontier Airlines and Cebu Pacific to Deploy Starlink In‑flight Wi‑Fi

Frontier Airlines announced that its first Starlink‑equipped aircraft will begin service in early 2027, making it the first U.S. carrier to offer SpaceX’s high‑speed, low‑latency satellite internet across its low‑fare network serving the Caribbean. CEO Jimmy Dempsey said the rollout "transforms the onboard experience" and will support passenger streaming, gaming and work, as well as gate‑to‑gate connectivity for crew and operations.

Cebu Pacific of the Philippines also confirmed a 2027 launch of Starlink on its fleet, becoming the first low‑cost airline in Southeast Asia to provide the service. President and chief commercial officer Xander Lao noted that "reliable, high‑speed connectivity has become an expectation for today’s travellers" and that the technology will improve communications for both passengers and airline staff.

Both airlines are part of Indigo Partners’ portfolio of ultra‑low‑cost carriers that plan to install Starlink on more than 1,000 aircraft worldwide, signalling a major upgrade in inflight connectivity for budget airlines.
