Frontier Airlines passengers arrested after baggage fee dispute
Three passengers were arrested following a dispute over an unpaid carry-on bag fee during a Frontier Airlines flight from Miami to Philadelphia on March 29. According to airline employees, the individuals were denied boarding after failing to pay for a second carry-on bag but proceeded to board the aircraft regardless.
Police bodycam footage shows the subsequent confrontation and arrests. During the incident, an employee reported to deputies that the airline requested the removal of all three individuals and noted the potential smell of alcohol. The passengers were escorted from the plane in handcuffs following a physical struggle.
All three individuals were charged with trespassing and resisting an officer without violence. One passenger also faced a battery charge for allegedly spitting on an airline employee. The passengers have pleaded not guilty to the charges.
